A source within Affliction has confirmed to MMANews.com that there are talks to have IFL Lightweight standout Chris Horodecki face Dany Lauzon at Affliction 2: Day Of Reckoning.
Although nothing can be confirmed at this time, Affliction has been looking to find an opponent for Horodecki on the card since he signed a three fight deal with the company and Lauzon's name has been thrown around.
Lauzon (10-2-0) who is just 20 years old, is riding a six fight win streak since losing back to back fights against Deividas Taurosevicius and Spencer Fisher. The loss to Fisher came when Dan was 18 years old and youngest fighter to step inside the UFC's Octagon.
Horodecki start his career off with eleven straight victories before being stopped by Ryan Schultz in a rematch for the IFL Lightweight Title in December of 2007. Following that fight Horodecki came back and defeated Nate Lamotte at the IFL's final show in April.
The battle of these two 20 year olds could lead to one of the most exciting and explosive fights on the card as both fighters like to stand and trade. It will also be a fight between two of the hottest prospects in all of MMA right now. More info on this fight should start to break over the next few days.
