Seven Medical Suspensions Issued Following WEC 36

Newly crowned WEC featherweight Champion Mike Brown leads a pack of fighters that have been medically suspended following WEC 36. Brown suffered what was initially suspected to be a broken rib but has been determined to be torn cartilage between the ribs. The champ will not be out indefinitely and will need clearance from a doctor before be cleared to fight again.

David Avellan has been suspended for 60 days due to his KO loss to Aaron Simpson while former featherweight champ Urijah Faber, Jens Pulver, Nissen Osterneck, Jonathan Brookins, and Rafael Dias have been suspended for 30 days following their own respective TKO losses.
