Silva’s Pre-Fight Comments Fuel “Fix” Conspiracy

Following 162, some tin foil hat wearing fans flooded social media with suggestions that may have threw the main event to new UFC Middleweight Champion and taking a look at the former champ’s pre fight comments, fuel is only being added to the fire:

When UFC President was questioned about the allegations, he was short and sweet about:

“That’s the stupidest fucking thing I’ve ever heard in my life.”

ROFL… so the guy went and got punched in the face and went all “googly eyes” on purpose….. I am a little irritated with conspiracy theorists. How bout this conspiracy: He knew there was a distinct possibility that he could get caught being stupid and or just caught all together, so he said stupid things like that at the interviews. Then, he tried to piss Chris off and get him off of his game by getting in his face at the weigh-ins. Because that didn’t work and the fight wasn’t going the way he wanted it to, he tried to do the same thing he always does and scream and yell and get all hyped up during the fight to get Chris off his game.

THEN because THAT didn’t work either, he started dodging and crap like he always does to create an opening and to get the other person to make a mistake.

Finally because none of his antics that he has been using for years and years worked, he got KTFO’d.

I like that conspiracy better. EVERYONE knew that there was a distinct possibility that that could happen. Including him.

what some people may not understand is there was no translator there… soooo just throwing this out there, we know silva’s english is getting better but even in post fight interviews and such he has translators when people are speaking to him in english.. at the weigh ins when Joe asked him a few questions he had a translator tell him what joe said then he responded in english.. just keep in mind he might not have known what the interviewer was actually saying in some of those questions.. on another point, weidman was predicted to ground and pound him and win. they were specifically saying if he stood up to silva that was his worst chance of winning, so those fighters who were sying he was going to win never said by standing up with him and that what he did

Silva lost, that’s it fanboys. He didn’t throw anything. He got caught slipping being an arrogant ass. Weidman just capitalized on his stupid showboating.

MMA fans always saying boxing is fixed. Reality poor ticket & ppv sales for this fight. A rematch would make up for the loss financially. Like Dana is a fuckin ethical guy.

Fights get thrown all the time people , don’t be so naive to think it wouldn’t happen. Not saying this fight was but I definitely am not stupid enough to rule it out. Boxing, mma and every other sport has some level of corruption. Anyone who doesn’t believe that is a simpleton…….must be nice

I called it. Anderson WANTED to lose. Pretty sure he didn’t want to lose the way he did, but this video proves he really didn’t want to win the fight.

If he would have tapped to a half added heel hook, it would’ve been obvious. Well, even more than it is. Pretty sure Anderson planned to evade his way through the fight (Similar to the Demian Maia fight) but do maybe half as much offensive work so that Weidman would appear as the obvious aggressor and take a UD victory. Unfortunately, Anderson DID get caught. No one disputes HOW the fight ended. It’s the fact that, even if that KO never happened, Silva had no plans of going home with the belt.

I wonder how Weidman feels knowing that he’s not the guy that REALLY beat Anderson Silva. But, rather, the guy Anderson GAVE the belt to.

FWIW, Weidman looked TERRIBLE before the KO shot. Very sloppy, and VERY slow. If that Weidman would have fought the Mark Munoz that fought on Saturday, Munoz would’ve fucked Weidman up, BAD.

Weidman was gonna win, no doubt after seeing this. But, the kid got lucky to finish it THE WAY HE FINISHED IT. He was gonna get a belt. He just happened to steal a highlight reel finish and a post fight bonus.

Lol at all the “Weidman Era” bandwagoners. There will be no Weidman Era. We’re in a post-Silva era. Weidman drops that belt against any top 5 MW. Weidman has only ever beaten cans. The ONLY top 10 fighter Chris has beaten was a depressed, out of shape Mark Munoz. If Munoz would have been in the condition he was in the other night during his fight with Weidman a year ago, it would’ve been a much different turnout.

Silva has lossed before damn people need to stop being a bunch of babies. Watch Weidman explain the Bonner vs Silva fight and see how he broke down how to defeat Silva.

I can’t prove any conspiracy, but I do know that New York does not allow the UFC. Dana and the Fertitas are, and have been, trying really hard to get the legislation to give. I think that having another UFC champ in New York would help persuay the choice of getting a fight in Madison Square Garden. I wouldn’t doubt Silva gave this fight up to benifit the UFC. I don’t care if people call bullshit on my assumption, it’s fun to read into things.

He’s just too scared to fight gsp or jones! How’s that for a conspiracy theory? Lol, its about as dumb as anyone saying he threw the fight! Wake up people, your hero got knocked out cold and it was one of the greatest moments in ufc history!!

It’s hilarious that anytime something great happens people who don’t get their way say it is a fix(show time kick, nba finals game 6, etc). The pictures obviously show how the punch connected why would silva want to look like a jackass and get KO’d while taunting? It was one of the most humiliating loses I’ve ever seen!

Some powerful men in Vegas might have been in on it. He probably got paid to lose.

But, regardless. No, I am NOT fine with that. I am very much against what went down. A lot of respect was lost for him, in my opinion.

A better way to handle it would have been to win, then relinquish the title after the fight. The promotion could have put a tournament together and crowned a new champion. All parties involved would have kept their credibility. Now, though? The UFC is a complete joke.
