UFC Heavyweight Stefan Struve was unable to compete against Matt Mittrione at Saturday night’s UFC 175 pay-per-viev after suffering a medical incident backstage prior to his fight.

Here’s the official statement from UFC:

“Returning for the first time since a medical scare after his 2013 bout against Mark Hunt, the 26-year-old Struve began to black out backstage and his heart rate was elevated, with the assumption being that he was having a panic attack. After being checked out by doctors in attendance, Struve appeared to be okay, but as a precautionary measure he was pulled from the bout and taken to a local hospital.”
