While Conor McGregor will be fighting for a title in his next fight, a second UFC champion is looking to secure a fight with “The Notorious” Irishman.
UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J. Dillashaw appeared on Submission Radio and revealed that he wants to fight McGregor.
“Absolutely,” said Dillashaw when asked if he’s still interested in fighting McGregor. “But I don’t think he’s gonna last that long. I would like to do it now if I could, because I don’t think he’s going to last and be champion forever.”
Dillashaw elaborated, explaining that he feels his teammate, Chad Mendes, exposed holes in McGregor’s game.
“He’s definitely going to get beat. I think Mendes showed the holes in his game and I think people will take advantage of it. I think Chad Mendes beats him, I think Frankie Edgar beats him. You know, I don’t know if he’s going to beat [Jose] Aldo after watching that.”
McGregor is expected to fight UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo in his next fight, which UFC President Dana White said he would like to put on the AT&T Stadium show in Dallas, Texas, along with Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate III.
