Thiago Alves was riding high in the welterweight division not so long ago, knocking out the likes of Karo Parisyan and Matt Hughes and beating Josh Koscheck to earn himself a crack at the UFC Welterweight Title.
The aggressive style that earned Alves his reputation as a killer in the cage would seem to disappear following a loss in that title fight to Georges St. Pierre and since then he has gone to a decision in all of his fights, losing two of three.
Alves returns at UFC 138 against Papy Abedi and spoke to Tatame.com about what caused the change in his fighting style and how he plans to fix it in his next fight:
