TUF 8 Finale Draws Big Gate, Drugs Tests Come Back Clean


The NSAC has released the live gate information and drug test results for the fighters that were tested during The Ultimate Fighter 8 finale and it is nothing but good news for the UFC.

The event drew 1,496 paid attendees for a live gate of $405,000. The finale took place on Dec. 13 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. 357 tickets were also issued as “comp” tickets by The Palms Las Vegas and the UFC. The total attendance was 1,853.

Also, all fighters tested following the event for any banned substances such as performance enhancing drugs or drugs of abuse came back clean. Phillipe Nover, Efrain Escudero, Ryan Bader, Vinny Magalhaes, Roli Delgado, Shane Nelson, Tom Lawlor, Eliot Marshall, Krzysztof Soszynski, Junie Browning, Wilson Gouveia and Anthony Johnson were all tested.
