Tyson Pedro Finishes Off Khalil Rountree At UFC Fight Night 101

Tyson Pedro didn’t let the chance to compete inside the Octagon get the better of him Saturday night.

Instead, Pedro rose to the occasion, besting Khalil Rountree via submission at UFC Fight Night 101.

“Awesome to get a win after three weeks notice,” Pedro told UFC.com after. “I am pumped. So happy. I was going to try and stand with him, but then my game plan went out the window when I messed up my footwork.

“But then I came back and I did what I love to do and I made him pay for it with my jiu-jitsu.”

Pedro, a native of Australia, improved to 5-0 with the win. Four of his five victories have been submission finishes.
