OHIO ATHLETIC COMMISSION
After months of rumors, the Ohio Athletic Commission is proud to announce that it’s now official the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be coming to Columbus, OH on March 3rd at the Nationwide Arena for UFC 68. We are calling it UFC (68) OHIO 1. We know that the Mixed Martial Art fans will make this a sellout and we will then set our directions for UFC OHIO 2.
This is one of the greatest things that could have happened for Ohio and the sport of Mixed Martial Arts/ Ultimate Fighting. A lot of people have worked hard to help this sport grow in the state, to numerous to mention. This is their reward for all that effort. A great deal of thanks must go to Mr. Jim Lorimer organizer of the Arnold Classic, one of the top sporting events in the world, for his work in securing the UFC to come to Ohio the weekend of the Arnold Classic. To Dana White, Marc Ratner and all the organizing staff of the UFC for all the effort they put forth in bringing this top caliber event to the state of Ohio.
We are looking for the continued support from all those who support the sport of Mixed Martial Arts/Ultimate Fighting to make this event one of the top event ever attended in Ohio.
