UFC Fires Jacob “Stitch” Duran For Speaking Out Against Reebok Deal

A familiar face in the MMA world and longtime cut man Jacob “Stitch” Duran has been fired by the UFC this week.

Duran, who has worked for the UFC since 2001, spoke out against the promotion’s new Reebok deal, noting that it cost him a lot of sponsorship money and might force him to take more boxing work. As a result of the comments, one day after making them, Stitch found himself cut from the UFC.

On Tuesday, Duran confirmed the fact that his comments about the Reebok deal directly cost him a job he has had with the UFC for over 14 years.
