WEC Middleweight Champion Paulo Filho was recently interviewed by TATAME.com and when asked about the possible merger between the WEC and UFC Middleweight talent as well as the possibility of match up with UFC Middleweight Champ Anderson Silva, the undefeated Filho was quick to shoot down and thought of the fight:

And if their decision is to merge you to UFC, will you face Anderson Silva?

Definitely no. We’re close friends and I believe there’s space for everybody there, it’s definitely out of my plans.


Not surprising. The two have been good friends for a long time and have helped each other train. Maybe money doesn't talk for everyone.
