Rich Franklin To Fight Matt Hamill At UFC 88

MMAJunkie.com is reporting Rich Franklin will make the jump back to 205lbs when he takes on Matt Hamill at UFC 88 on Sept 6th in Atlanta GA.

The fight will be part of the co-mainevent when former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell takes on the undefeated Rashad Evans. This fight was first set to take place this past June but a hamstring injury forced Liddell out of the fight.

Franklin, who is a former Middleweight Champion last fought in the UFC 205lbs division in 2005 when he defeated Ken Shamrock rather handily at the Ultimate Fighter Season One Finale.

In Hamill's last outting he defeated Tim Boestch in the 2nd round via TKO.
