Rich Franklin vs. Travis Lutter Possible For UFC 82

With a new six-fight deal now in effect, Rich Franklin is considering a fight with Travis Lutter that would take place at UFC 82 in March.
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) today spoke to Franklin’s business manager, who said the fight has been offered â€" but not accepted.
UFC 82 takes place March 1 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Franklin, a Cincinnati native, has been a major draw during two previous Ohio events: March’s UFC 68 show in Columbus and October’s UFC 77 event in Cincinnati.
However, an appearance at a third Ohio show isn’t a lock.
”(Rich) has been asked about fighting Travis Lutter in March,” said J.T. Stewart, Franklin’s business manager at American Fighter Management. “The fight has been proposed, and we’re assessing it.“
