MMAWeekly.com has confirmed with sources close to Thiago Silva that a back problem will force him out of a scheduled bout with Lyoto Machida in what could have been a big match up in the UFC's Light Heavyweight division.

Machida and Silva are both on the brink a shot at the Light Heavyweight title and a win in the bout could have put them one step closer to the top of the ladder.

The report also states that the UFC will be looking to a find a suitable opponent for the undefeated Machida to fill in for the card that is set to take place in London, England.
