Update On Gina Carano’s Status With UFC

Gina Carano

It was reported this week that talks between the UFC and former face of the women’s division, Gina Carano, have slowed down, but there is still good news to come.

According to sources, negotiations between Carano and the UFC are stalled but not dead. Both sides still want to work together, but Carano’s Strikeforce contract is now expired and the actress, who hasn’t fought since mid-2009, is free to look elsewhere.

Despite this news, the UFC women’s bantamweight division might still get some fresh fighters as talks between Zuffa officials and former world champion boxer Holly Holm seem to be “progressing and are in a good place,” although a final deal has yet to be reached.
