As nuch as the real “die-hard” MMA fans hate to admit it, most of the fans in the early days of the UFC emanated from the world of professional wrestling, including — brace yourself — some of your very favorite fighters themselves.
On Saturday, a video went viral that shows the leader of Team Alpha Male doing his very best attempt at a “Nature Boy” Ric Flair promo from his heyday in the 1980s, when Flair himself was the leader of a team known as “The Four Horsemen,” a name that was borrowed and used to this day by Ronda Rousey and her friends and teammates, known as “The Four Horsewomen.”
Watch the video above to see “The California Kid” do his best to perform a classic “Nature Boy” Ric Flair pro wrestling promo, complete with the custom made suits, Rolex watches, and the always popular, random shout of “Woooo!”
“To be the man, you have to record a webcam version of yourself trying your hardest to emulate the man!”
….I think the quote goes something like that. Of course, you can always Google me if I’m wrong.
