White Feels Hendricks Won, NSAC Needs To Be Fixed

Dana White was not happy during the UFC 167 press conference last night and let loose a multiple topics including the decision the judges rendered during the main event between Georges St. Pierre and Johny Hendricks. White was vocal on who he felt won and pulled no punches on what he thinks of the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC):

“Does anybody here think that Johny Hendricks didn’t win the fight? I’m blown away that Georges St-Pierre won that fight. And listen, I’m a promoter. He’s the biggest pay-per-view star on the f–king planet for me, and I still don’t think he won that fight. I want what’s fair, and that wasn’t fair. I think the Nevada State Athletic Commission is atrocious. I think the governor needs to step in immediately before these guys destroy the sport like they did boxing…I should be, ‘Whoo-hoo! These idiots gave it to Georges.’ But it’s not fair, it’s not right, it’s not the way things work. It’s not the way they should work. At the end of the day, we put on a fight with two of the best guys in the world, and whoever wins, wins.”

He continued: “The governor needs to step in and fix the incompetence that is happening in the state of Nevada that used to be the best commission in the world. It’s absolutely, 100 percent incompetence, and it needs to stop. I’m f–king scared to come back here and (promote) fights. I’m afraid of this state.”

Dana White is right, pretty sad too because all this is making it look like the UFC is fixed….

Steve Blunt fight metrics don’t judge fights. Can’t change the decision time to move forward. DW can always resign and apply for a judges license. Joking

Agree with him on this one thing..

After looking at the fight again, it was close…but GSP won the first round (the one that is really in question) which does make it 48-47 GSP. It was close, but the decision was correct. If you look at the basis of how it supposed to be scored, he got rounds 1,3, and 5.

We’re all judges and have our own opinions so with that being said…
    My opinion is Hendricks Won…
GSP was MESSED UP!! (to be nice)
And if he doesn’t fight Hendricks again he’s a B¡tcH !!! Make it happen Dana White !!

Steve Blunt first don’t be disrespectful with the name calling on FB. with that said 3 human beings scored the fight not fight metrics this isn’t Olympic boxing. Close fight Hendricks is a gamer but to beat a world champion by decision you would to need DOMINATE at 3 and maybe 4 rounds.

Dana doesn’t care about the sport in this situation. He cares about selling fights and having the old champions lose to avoid controversy. Dana is running a business here. Hendricks lost period. If GSP walks set up an 8 man tournament and find a new WW kingpin. If GSP takes 6 months to get right lets see Hendricks v. Somebody for the next title shot…

Stats don’t lie, I am not saying it wasn’t close, I am just saying I disagree with Dana and the majority. Sorry not sorry, it’s a statistical fact GSP won and in my opinion it was closer than the stats, but he still won.

in twenty years, the UFC will be the most boring contest ever of sportsmen who out point each other, and haven’t finished a fight in 7 contests, or 3 years. oh wait, thats gsp

GSP got hurt in every round of that fight, Hendrix was unphased by anything GSP delivered stats dont mean shit when someone is nearly getting finished every round

Whatever, I honestly don’t care, thought it was a great fight. I just think this isn’t as clear as the Machida/Rua fight back in the day. Don’t care if you dislike my opinion, but change the scoring system and then stats won’t matter.

Condit did the same to him. Some people bruise and et cut easier than others. The look of someones face does not determine the winner or loser in an athletic event. However, to be honest I believe that both Condit and Hendricks beat GSP. I also believe to beat the champ you have to BEAT the champ. If it looks anything like a tie the decision goes to the belt holder. Submission, KO, or TKO is the way you earn your belt.

I hate how the average fan just jumps in and says hendricks got robbed!! The judges got it right it was a super close fight. Get off the whole damage thing thats not how fights are scored. Gsp looked amazing striking in the 3rd round he dominated the fight metrics the entire night. Outclassed hendricks everywhere except maybe wrestling. The average fan is probably tired of gsp cuz hes so calculated and smart they want to see him out. So they have the excuse they wanted to say he shouldnt be champ anymore. GSP won. Looking from an unbiased point of view. That being said, it was a super close fight! Hendricks has a right to be upset. I could have excepted a split decision for hendricks because it was that close but he by no means got robbed. Nobody completely dominated that fight. Dana white is a business man whose never been in the ring he needs to calm down. GsP should move to bellator and fight Askren.
