UFC 92 is now in the books and the excellent offering from the UFC has garnered it's standard fight night award winners. As per usual, Fight of the Night, KO of the Night, and Submission of the Night bonuses were awarded. Surprisingly enough there were no submission on the card so that bonus was not awarded.
Fight of the night honors went to the main event of Forrest Griffin and Rashad Evans. The fight, which last roughly two and a half rounds, seen The Ultimate Fighters season 1 and 2 winners go to war. Evans would come out on top when he landed a devastating shot from Griffin's guard and then followed it up with a barrage of shots to claim the light heavyweight title.
Although Wanderlei Silva told UFC President Dana White to put his name on the KO of the night bonus check prior to the event, it was actually his opponent, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson that would exact revenge on his old foe and send him to the mat in a heep with a huge left hook.
Jackson now has the honor of saying he has KO'd both Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva with his right and left hands respectively.
The award winners were each given an additional $60,000 to go on top of their salaries which will likely be out at the beginning of the week.
