Bellator Fighting Championships has announced the first round pairings for it's debut show on April 4th in Hollywood, FL. The The show will feature 12 two-hour weekly episodes (airing Saturday nights on ESPN) and Eight-man tournaments will be held in the featherweight, lightweight, welterweight and middleweight divisions. Non-tournament feature bouts will also take place from week to week. THe confirmed participants for the tournaments are:
Featherweight: Ben Greer, Nick Gonzalez, Luis Palomino, Estevan Payan, Wilson Reis, Yahir Reyes and Joe Soto
Lightweight: Eddie Alvarez, Diego Garijo, Toby Imada, Jorge Masvidal, Daniel Morales and Thomas Shulte
Welterweight: Omar De La Cruz, Lyman Good and Jorge Ortiz
Middleweight: Edwin Aguilar, Hector Lombard and Daniel Tabera
and the first round pairings for the debut show are as follows:
155 lbs.: Eddie Alvarez (16-2) vs. Daniel Morales (5-1)
155 lbs.: Jorge Masvidal (16-3) vs. Diego Garijo (3-1)
145 lbs.: Nick Gonzalez (14-6) vs. Yahir Reyes (12-5)
145 lbs.: Estevan Payan (6-1) vs. Luis Palomino (9-4)
145 lbs.: Joe Soto (4-0) vs. Ben Greer (11-4)
