Jeff Monson Picks Up Two Wins In Just Eight Days

Just one week on from his defeat of former IFL Heavyweight Champion Roy Nelson on the “March Badness” boxing/MMA pay-per-view, “The Snowman” Jeff Monson was too much for Lithuanian Sergej Maslobojev in the main of Cage Wars' “Decade” event, held at the King's Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Unsurprisingly, Monson's wrestling was the key to his victory, just as it had been against Nelson. After Maslobojev surprisingly stuffed his initial takedown, Monson rolled to be in prime position for the remainder of the fight. A Kimura almost won Monson the fight at the end of the first, but an Anaconda Choke finally sealed it at 2:30 of the second round.
