Frank Trigg Cut From UFC Following UFC 109 Loss To Matt Serra

Following two disappointing performances in his return to the UFC, Frank Trigg has been released from his contract with the company. Trigg released the news today via his facebook account in which he stated "It is true, I was realesed from my contract with the UFC on Monday. The family had to know first."

Trigg who holds a 19-8 record looked good prior to making his return with four straight wins before entering the Octagon at UFC 103 and UFC 109 only to get knocked out in the first round of both bouts by Josh Koscheck (103) and this past weekend at UFC 109 against Matt Serra.

It isn't clear where Trigg will go from here but he does have options within the fight buisness if he did choose to stick around. Trigg has worked in the announce booth before for Pride FC and on HDNet.
