Once dismissed by Jackson, citing the potential for a boring fight, it seems Rampage has experienced a change of heart, and he and Lyoto will indeed meet inside the cage.
Jackson hit his twitter to announce “Almost ready to sign the bout agreement. I would tell ya'll who I'm gonna get down with, but I can't spell his name. Hahaha.”
While neither man has officially signed to make the bout happen, verbal agreements have been made, and the UFC will likely book this as the headliner of the still-unannounced November 20th card (barring any injuries).
Both men will be seeking redemption as Jackson is looking to rebound after his unanimous decision loss to Rashad Evans at UFC 114. Machida will aim to erase the memories of his brutal knockout loss to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 113.
