You can officially pencil in Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza vs. Tim Kennedy for the vacant Strikeforce middleweight title at the August 21 event scheduled for the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

The Souza-Kennedy vacant title fight will be one of two title fights during the 8/21 card, as King Mo Lawal will defend his Strikeforce light heavyweight title for the first time against Rafael Feijao in the main event.

Many may be wondering about the much talked about Strikeforce middleweight tournament and where it stands now that Jacare-Kennedy has been announced as a fight to crown a champion in the middleweight division.
