Fedor Emelianenko Says He Jumped The Gun, Still Plans To Fight

Although he had first said that it may be time to hang up the 4oz. gloves following a loss against Antonio Silva this past weekend, Fedor Emelianenko has changed his tune after a couple of days of letting things sink in:”I rushed to declare my retirement. I will fight more. Possibly, I will return to the Heavyweight Grand-Prix. I am capable of having a few more fights. I didn't make any analysis yet on why I lost. I need to recover, I can't see very well yet.”

Looks like we haven't seen the last of the “Last Emperor” just yet as he tells that things have changed after he had some time to think.

The Russian Sambo and Striking coach also comment on Emelianenko's decision:

“It's very nice that Fedor still has his fighting spirit, he is ready to rip everyone apart right now. Yes, his eye is swollen, but it will heal. Most importantly for him is not to have any psychological pressure. After this, he will train with a triple effort.””Fedor is capable to return to the tournament. Everybody stumbles; this is not the end of the world.”
