UFC 128 was a violent affair from top-to-bottom. Wars were waged, and as is expected in this sport, injuries were sustained. Among those competing last Saturday, a total 10 competitors received medical suspensions from the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board.
Heavy hitting headliners Jon Jones and Shogun both received medical suspensions. Jones faces an indefinite suspension pending an X-ray, MRI, and orthopedic clearance of his right hand. Rua meanwhile faces the standard 60 day TKO suspension as well as an indefinite suspension pending a CT head scan.
Check out the remaining medical suspensions below:
Kamal Shalorus faces a 60-day TKO suspension and will sit out indefinitely pending a CT scan of his facial/orbital bones.
Mirko Cro Cop was suspended 30 days after suffering the knockout, another 30 days for facial laceration healing, and indefinitely pending a CT head scan.
Brendan Schaub was suspended 60 days for a facial laceration, and indefinitely pending a CT scan of his facial/orbital bones.
Luiz Cane was suspended indefinitely pending an x-ray and orthopedic clearance of his left thumb.
