Alessio Sakara Injured, Constantinos Philippou Fights Jorge Rivera

An injury has forced Alessio Sakara out of a bout with Jorge Rivera, opening the door for Constantinos Philippou to make the jump from the undercard to the main PPV card at UFC 133 on August 6th.

Sakara tore his ACL in training forcing this bout to be canceled for the third time, Sakara was sick at UFC 122, and Rivera was injured prior to UFC 118.

Philippou was pegged to face Rafael Natal who is now likely to face Paul Bradley who has verbally agreed to the bout.

Barring no more injuries, the card for UFC 133 is as follows:

Main Event:

205 lbs.: Rashad Evans vs. Tito Ortiz

Main Card (Pay-per-view):

185 lbs.: Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Vitor Belfort
205 lbs.: Rich Franklin vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
185 lbs.: Jorge Rivera vs. Constantinos Philippou
170 lbs.: Rory MacDonald vs. Mike Pyle

Spike TV Prelims:

205 lbs.: Matt Hamill vs. Alexander Gustafsson
145 lbs.: Chad Mendes vs. Rani Yahya
