Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz not only got his first win in 5 years this past weekend at UFC 132 but did it in impressive fashion by knocking the sense out of Ryan Bader and then forcing him to tap via guillotine choke two minutes into the first round.
Following the win, Ortiz talked about where he'd like to go from here and explained his rebirth and changes in fight preparation that he feels contributed to the beating Bader in one of his most impressive wins:
“I gave [UFC President] Dana [White] his opportunity to find someone to beat me, and it didn't work [with] Bader,” said Ortiz in a postfight interview with UFC.com. “So give me my shot at one of the guys I thought that I beat already in Forrest Griffin. [The judges] gave him a split decision, so give me another chance at him.”
