Duane “Bang” Ludwig is staking his claim to the UFC's fastest knockout record as he has begun to take steps to petition the NSAC to change the official result of his 2006 knockout win over Jonathan Goulet.
Ludwig blasted Goulet straight out of the gate and dropped the Canadian at the 4 second mark. Goulet is clearly unconscious no later than the 6 second mark. Official records show the knockout coming at 11 seconds while the official record for fastest knockout is now owned by Todd Duffee for his quick KO of Tim Hague.
“The UFC sent me a copy of the DVD, so I'm going to send that off to the commission with a letter and then with a link to the Facebook [petition] I have,” Ludwig told MMAJunkie.com. “Hopefully that gets locked down. That would be cool.”
Although not something that typically is asked of the athletic commission it means something to Ludwig and with the tape, the proof is in the pudding. You can check out the official petition on facebook by clicking HERE.
