Sam Stout Pulls Out Of Fight With Dennis Siver At UFC 137

By MATT BOONE

Highly regarded UFC lightweight contender Sam Stout has pulled out of his scheduled fight at UFC 137 against Dennis Siver.

Stout suffered a heart-wrenching blow earlier this month when his brother-in-law and longtime trainer, Shawn Tompkins, passed away due to heart complications. Whether or not that played any role in Stout's withdrawl from the bout is unknown.

As of this writing, no replacement for Stout has been announced for the Siver fight at UFC 137.

UFC 137 emanates from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 29, 2011, and will be headlined by a mega-showdown between current UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, and former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz.
