After picking up knock out of the night honors in his last outting at UFC 133, Vitor Belfort won't be taking much time off and plans on getting back in the cage at UFC 139 in November.
Belfort announced via his website that he will be facing former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Cung Le in San Jose on November 19th.
Le hasn't fought since June of 2010 when he defeated Scott Smith, knocking him out in the second round. Belfort has gone 6-1 in his last seven fights, the lone loss coming at the hands of UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva. Belfort knocked out Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 133.
No word on what sort of contract the UFC has with Le. He was under contract with Showtime and Strikeforce but with the Zuffa buyout of Strikeforce it should come as no surprise to see him under the UFC banner. It should also be noted that Le has only ever fought a MMA bout in San Jose, Ca.
Le had hoped to fight on the San Jose card alongside teammate Cain Velasquez (both train at the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose) but Velasquez's title defense against Junior Dos Santos was bumped up a week to the UFC on Fox debut.
