Despite previously pulling out of a planned bout with Clay Harvison, DaMarques Johnson will indeed make the bout happen.
According to MMAjunkie.com, Harvison and Johnson have again, each verbally agreed to meet at UFC on FOX 1, with bout agreements expected to be distributed shortly.
Their initial encounter was planned for this past month's UFC Fight Night 25 event, but Johnson was forced to withdraw. Harvison instead toed the line with Seth Baczynski, coming up short after succumbing to a second round rear naked choke. The TUF 13 veteran now sports an official 1-1 record inside the octagon.
Johnson is also a reality show veteran, as the American battled his way to the finals of “TUF 9” before tapping to choke applied by the tough Brit James Wilks. DaMarques has amassed a 3-3 record for the promotion, including a victory over dangerous striker Brad Blackburn.
UFC on FOX 1, takes place Nov. 12 in Anaheim, Calif. The main event pits heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and number one contender Junior dos Santos and airs on FOX.
