Jon Jones Vs. Lyoto Machida Booked For UFC 140 In Toronto

Jon Jones next title defense has been set after an official announcement from UFC President Dana White came down via his Twitter account.

Although it was expected that Jones would defend the belt against Rashad Evans in his next outing, it will instead be former champ Lyoto Machida that will get the nod.

White stated that Rashad Evans just had pins removed from his hand on Wednesday and won't be able to get back into the gym for at least three weeks.

Machida last fought at UFC 129, in Toronto, where he defeated Randy Couture by way of knockout in what be Couture's last professional fight.

Jones defeated Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 135 in September to defend the belt for the first time since winning it from Shogun Rua earlier this year.
