Josh Koscheck Wants Big Name Fights At Welterweight Or Middleweight

Top five ranked welterweight Josh Koscheck thought at one point his career as a mixed martial artist could be in jeopardy after an eye injury suffered in a welterweight title fight against Georges St. Pierre.

After returning in September, on short notice no less, and knocking out Matt Hughes, Koscheck is now looking to return again before the end of 2011 and discussed what type of fights he wants as his career could possibily be winding down:

“I'm a money fighter,” Koscheck told during this weekend's UFC Fan Expo Houston 2011. “I want big fights.

“I'm 33. I've been fighting for a long time now. I just want big fights. I'll fight anybody at 185 or 170. I don't care. I just want big fights, big names.”

“In December of last year, I didn't think I would really ever fight again because of the eye injury (a broken orbital bone suffered in a losing effort to take GSP Welterweight belt). I wasn't sure. There was some uncertainty.”
