Despite getting screwed out of a title shot by a smack talking Nick Diaz at UFC 137, Carlos Condit will find himself with a top tier opponent on the same card Diaz will fight Georges St. Pierre.
UFC President Dana White announced following UFC 138 that Condit has been booked to face Josh Koscheck in the co-main event of UFC 143. The event takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 4th, 2012.
After St. Pierre pulled out of UFC 137 due to an injury, Condit was left without an opponent and a title shot. White had guaranteed Condit's shot prior to the card happening but after Diaz's performance against Penn coupled with his post fight actions in calling out the welterweight champ, Condit was left in the cold.
He'll have a chance to show why he deserves a shot when he faces another former title challenger in Koscheck who returned to action in September with an impressive first round knockout of Matt Hughes.
