Rich Franklin Eyeing Commentary Role As UFC Career Winds Down

By Chris Howie

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Rich Franklin took a stab at work on the other side of the camera this past weekend during UFC 141.

With the UFC expanding, more opportunities will be opening up for analysts and commentators so Franklin was in the booth with Jon Anik of ESPN behind the scenes giving it a go:

“The UFC, they're expanding, everybody knows they're doing the shows on FOX and FUEL and FX and all that stuff, so they're adding some positions as analyst and commentator. I'm out here this weekend to work with Jon Anik, basically calling the fights, but it's not gonna be televised.”
