After being fired from the UFC by Dana White for failing a pre fight medical prior to a main event slot at UFC on Versus 4 last year, Nate Marquardt finds himself back under the Zuffa banner, thought not back in the UFC just yet.
During Tuesday night's episode of UFC Tonight on Fuel TV, it was announced that Marquardt had been signed to a Strikeforce contract. After spending nearly a year on the sidelines, Marquardt will likely be action on an upcoming Strikeforce card.
His last appearance was at UFC 128 where he earned a unanimous decision win over Dan Miller. After being fired he had signed a contract with UK's BAMMA promotion but would later ask for a release.
