After having another UFC Lightweight title shot taken away Anthony Pettis is considering a drop in weight to the UFC's flyweight division according to his manager.
Ariel Helwani spoke with Pettis's manager this week who explained what the future may hold for the former WEC Lightweight Champion:
“I spoke to Anthony's manager just a few hours ago and he told me that he was really disappointed, but he respects the decision. He would consider going down to 145 to fight Aldo. This is definitely something to monitor.”
With Frankie Edgar and Ben Henderson set to face each other in a rematch of their February war it leaves Pettis with little moving space in the division. Could a move to featherweight and a shot at Jose Aldo finally give Pettis the chance to wear UFC gold?
