Rousey Has No Issue With Move To Co-Main Event At UFC 168

Ronda Rousey’s UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title defense against Miesha Tate at UFC 168 had been pegged for the main event slot on the card but with the announcement that Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva will meet in a UFC Middleweight Championship rematch, Rousey’s fight was moved down the line.

Now the co-main event at UFC 168, Rousey spoke about the change while speaking with USA Today and had no complaints with the bump:

“I’m super stoked about being on the same card as Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman,” Rousey told USA TODAY Sports. “It’ll alleviate some of the promotional stress and pressure because there’ll be more of us working to promote this big card.”

“Their fight may very well be the fight of the year, maybe even in the history of the company, and I think it’s an honor to be a part of that,” Rousey said.

UFC 168 takes place on December 28th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV and will air live on PPV. The end of year show is typically one of the most stacked events of the year.
