Former Olympic Gold Medalist Cejudo Gets Second Chance, Added To UFC On FOX 13

Former Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo, who has a perfect 6-0 record in MMA, will make his second attempt at a UFC debut this December, as UFC officials announced his first bout today.

Cejudo, who was originally scheduled to make his Octagon debut back in August against veteran Scott Jorgensen, ended up being pulled from the fight due to his inability to make weight.

UFC President Dana White made it clear that unless Cejudo agreed to move up in weight, as he had missed weight in other organizations in the past, he would not have a spot on the UFC roster.

Cejudo obliged, and will now make his Bantamweight debut against Dustin Kimura (11-2) at the next UFC On FOX event.

Featuring a main event of Junior Dos Santos vs. Stipe Miocic, UFC On FOX 13 is scheduled to take place on December 13, 2014 at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Also on the card will be the return of Nate Diaz, as he battles the highly regarded Rafael dos Anjos, as well as an exciting Heavyweight tilt between Alistair Overeem and Stefan Struve.
