Dana White Worried About Potential Aldo-McGregor Brawl During World Tour

As the UFC 189 “World Championship Tour” sweeps across the nation, UFC President Dana White has a very specific job, and it’s not simply promoting the biggest UFC Featherweight Championship bout in history.

White stated recently that Jose Aldo’s head coach, Andre Pederneiras, told him that if Conor McGregor touches Aldo once at any point during the promotional tour, things could get ugly.

“Andre Pederneiras told me – he’s not joking, he’s dead serious – that I better make sure that Conor McGregor does not touch Jose Aldo once during this entire tour,” White said on FS1’s UFC Fight Night 62 post-fight show. “The level of disrespect that’s coming out of [McGregor’s] mouth will not be followed by the level of disrespect by him being touched.”

White continued, “I better sleep, eat my Wheaties and be ready on this trip to keep these two from touching each other, which I’m very conscious of.”

“It’s going to fun. It’s going to be interesting, and I can’t wait for that fight. It’s going to be the biggest featherweight fight ever,” White concluded.

Jose Aldo vs. Conor McGregor for the UFC Featherweight Championship headlines UFC 189, which takes place on Saturday, July 11th from Las Vegas, Nevada.
