Following Controversial Call, Dana White Says Eduardo Herdy Should Never Referee Again

UFC President Dana White is not happy with referee Eduardo Herdy, who worked the UFC Fight Night 62 event in Brazil on Saturday night, and he’s letting it be known.

Among other fights, Herdy worked the Leandro Silva vs. Drew Dober fight on the preliminary card, and while he continued to make mistakes throughout the night, his biggest error came in the Silva-Dober bout.

The issue came when Herdy called a stop to the fight while Silva had Dober in a guillotine choke on the ground. Herdy, thinking Dober had fallen unconscious, stopped the fight, awarding Silva the victory via “submission” despite the fact that Dober was clearly still in the fight and likely on the verge of escaping the hold.

Dana White, furious at the call, quickly took to his Twitter account to voice his displeasure.
