UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey recently appeared on ESPN’s “First Take” to give her detailed analysis of the upcoming boxing mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
“It’s a very, very close fight, it really is, but Manny is a friend of mine and I got to stick up for my friends,” said Rousey of the fight, which is scheduled for May 2nd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“It’s not just that,” she continued, “I really believe if Manny doesn’t jump in, and if he uses really relentless pressure and uses all of his speed, I think he’s going to give Floyd a really hard time.”
Rousey continued, “Being an actual fighter and not just talking about it, I can’t say what exactly it will be, but I think Manny will present Floyd with some very unique problems he hasn’t dealt with yet; speed and relentlessness. If he doesn’t jump in, stays planted on his feet and he uses all of that speed that he has, I think it’s a really good strategy for him.”
