Anthony Pettis Gets Tough Assignment For First Fight Since Losing UFC Title

It looks like former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis is getting a tough assignment for his first fight since losing his title to Rafael Dos Anjos back in May.

Former Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez announced via Twitter that he will be fighting Pettis in Boston.

While yet to be officially announced by the UFC, the Pettis-Alvarez bout is scheduled to be added to the UFC Fight Night 81 event on FOX Sports 1, which features T.J. Dillashaw vs. Dominick Cruz for the UFC bantamweight championship as the main event.

With the double headline feature of Dillashaw-Cruz and Pettis-Alvarez, UFN 81 event, which is set to take place on January 17th at the TD Garden, the event is basically the biggest show that UFC has ever put on FS1.
