The UFC has made seven cuts already this weekend, and a total of 50 are expected before Monday. Christos Giagos, Chris Clements, Matt Van Buren, Roger Narvaez, Marcus Brimage, and Eddie Gordon have all been released from the company.
Giagos mentioned on his Instagram account that the UFC told him the reason he was being cut was because “they are overbooked and had to make some cuts.” The organization currently has around 560 fighters under contract.

Eddie Gordon wrote on his Facebook: “Just got news from the @ufc I will be released just want to thank my friends family fans @danawhite and everyone at Ufc for great8 opportunities 170lb division is safe for now I’ll be back no doubt about it looking forward to the next chapter of this best seller #teamtruck”
