Michael Bisping (28-7) is coming off of the biggest win of his career after he defeated Anderson Silva (33-7) by unanimous decision on Saturday in London. “The Count” now has 18 victories inside the Octagon, which is tied for second in the UFC.
The English fighter has now won four of his last five fights. So what is next for Bisping? Well he took little time to decide and called out Nick Diaz for his next fight. Bisping sent out a series of tweets calling out the Stockton native. The 37 year-old was responding to a meme that Diaz posted on his Facebook that was in reference to Bisping getting knocked down by Silva at the end of the 3rd round on Saturday, which stirred some controversy. Take a look:
Here are the tweets that Bisping sent out later:
Hey @nickdiaz209 see your talking shit. Don't be bitter cos I beat somebody you couldn't. Thought you were cooler than that. Obviously wrong

I'd of thought @nickdiaz209 would be more concerned about the beating his bro is gonna get next week, rather than looking for his own
— michael (@bisping) February 29, 2016
For the record I like @nickdiaz209 I've always been a fan. But if wants to throw down I'm in.

A Bisping vs. Diaz fight would certainly be a fun and interesting matchup to make. Both Diaz and Bisping have fantastic standup. They are similar in the sense that they utilize their jabs and consistently throw multiple combinations. Both are also well known trash talkers in the fight business, which would makes it even better leading up to the fight.
Diaz last fought at UFC 183 in a Middleweight bout with Anderson Silva. He originally lost the fight by unanimous decision. However, both fighters failed their drug tests and was changed to a no contest. Stay tuned to mmanews.com to hear the latest on this potential bout.
