Diego Brandao Cut From UFC After Being Arrested On Felony Battery Charges

Former Ultimate Fighter winner Diego Brandao has officially been cut by the UFC.

UFC officials confirmed this week that Brandao has been released from the promotion following the fighter’s felony battery arrest earlier this month.

Brandao, 28, was arrested in Albuquerque, New Mexico on four felony counts back on April 15th. Among the felony counts were charges of aggravated battery and great bodily harm. The former TUF champion is being accused of pistol-whipping and punching multiple men outside of a strip-club after he was kicked out of the club earlier in the evening.

In addition to his legal troubles and UFC release, Brandao is also facing a suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) following a positive marijuana test for his fight back at UFC 195 earlier this year.
