UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler has spent 15 years competing against the best of the best in MMA.
So when people try to compare him to the likes of Conor McGregor, “Ruthless” gets a little upset.
Lawler, who defends his title this Saturday night at UFC 201 vs. Tyron Woodley, was a guest on “UFC Tonight” Wednesday night when McGregor’s name came up.
“I don’t think he should be mentioned with me,” Lawler said. “I’m not like anyone else. I’m a little different.”
Lawler (27-10) has won five in a row, including a January split decision victory vs. former interim UFC champion Carlos Condit. The 34-year-old has also bested the likes of Rory MacDonald, Johny Hendricks and Matt Brown over the last two years.
