Brendan Schaub: McGregor vs. Pacquiao is a Tough Sell

Brendan Schaub isn’t high on the possibility of Conor McGregor vs. Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao recently said that talks of a bout with McGregor have opened. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White responded by threatening to sue Pacquiao’s team.

Speaking to TMZ, Schaub said he can’t get behind the match-up (via BJPenn.com):

“Even for a guy like me, who was on the Conor vs. [Floyd] Mayweather train – I was the face of MMA with Showtime – this would be tough for me to sell. This would be a tough fight for me to sell.”

“I think it’s a tougher fight for Conor [than Mayweather]. Pacquiao’s more of a pressure fighter, bigger puncher. Floyd Mayweather was the perfect matchup where we could sell that super fight. This would be tough to sell [as competitive]. It’s gonna sell well [on] pay-per-view, maybe… No, not in boxing. MMA, it wouldn’t last 30 seconds [for Pacquiao]. Boxing, no.”
