The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced an attendance of 8,862 for their recent event in Winnipeg.
UFC on FOX 26 took place inside the Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The main event featured a welterweight bout between Rafael dos Anjos and Robbie Lawler. After five rounds of action, dos Anjos earned a unanimous decision victory.
In co-headliner, featherweights Josh Emmett and Ricardo Lamas threw leather. Emmett earned a stunning first-round knockout victory.
Also on the card, welterweights Santiago Ponzinibbio and Mike Perry met inside the Octagon. Ponzinibbio won the bout via unanimous decision. Glover Teixeira opened up the main card, stopped Misha Cirkunov in the first round.
The UFC’s first appearance in Winnipeg was back in June 2013. That event was UFC 161 and it was headlined by a light heavyweight tilt between Rashad Evans and Dan Henderson. The card drew an attendance of 14,754.
