Tito Ortiz Reacts To Dana White’s Rant On Oscar De La Hoya

Tito Ortiz and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White have had a long history and their back-and-forth exchanges continue to this day.

Golden Boy Promotions held their first professional mixed martial arts event this past Saturday night (Nov. 24). Ortiz took on Chuck Liddell in their third encounter. “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” won the bout via first-round knockout. Many criticized Golden Boy Promotions for booking the bout including White, who went as far as to call Oscar De La Hoya a “f*cking cokehead.” He also called Ortiz a nutcase and said that he and De La Hoya were made for each other.

Tito Ortiz Responds To Dana White

Ortiz took to his Instagram account to respond to White and he appeared much calmer than he has been with White in the past:

“[Dana White] I appreciate everything you have done for the me & the sport, in my humble opinion I don’t feel Chuck & I were compensated correctly for all that we gave & sacrificed for the company. When you sold the company for over 4.5 billion dollars how much of that did Chuck and I get? Nothing…. I’m trying to build something new and rewarding for the sport! This is not about you, it is not about me… I want it to be about the fighters & giving them the opportunity to share in all the rewards this business has to offer to where they don’t have to fight when they are 43 & 48.”

Who do you side with in this situation?
